Siamo appena tornati da un breve viaggio in Marocco, a Fez per esatezza, e vorrei condividere con voi alcune our experiences and some reflections. Telling you how to create some sort of order among the myriad of visual experiences, sensory and cognitive functions. But I would warn you that this is summary impressions, a bit rambling, very subjective and not definitive on a small part of Morocco . 
Before leaving, I read dozens of descriptions, stories, "reviews" on Morocco, but almost all describe a country, a magic atmosphere made of idealized culture, traditions, fascinating, wild beauty, and so on. Yes it is. Too. But it is also a country where it is easy to service and become protagonists, and despite our discomfort, clashes culture assai diverse tra loro e trovarsi a convivere con un'arretratezza sociale sconcertante. Scoprire che essere donna, lì, costituisce una condizione sfavorevole e che si è giudicati inferiori a priori. E' bello godere del senso di ospitalità tipica della cultura arabo-musulmana ma è anche sconfortante subire atteggiamenti prevaricanti e, certe volte, aggressivi di quelli che vogliono a tutti costi, in un modo o nell'altro, fare soldi con noi. Siamo stati accerchiati, inseguiti, aggrediti verbalmente quasi tutti i giorni. Ecco, il Marocco è anche questo. E non dico queste cose con un senso di superiorità culturale che è spesso l'atteggiamento tipico dell'Occidente verso le altre "subculture" (la mia è una provocation, I do not stick to the term used). We have attempted, with humility and openness, to understand a culture radically different from ours. We even tried to learn rudimentary an Arab for a more direct approach and communicate more fluently and yet we went crashing into walls incompresnione and prejudices. But that's okay, you learn from everything. We returned home with many new and with a further enlarged view of the world.
